Hybrid Events - Limiting the Number of On-site Participants

Dear organizers,

we are happy to announce yet another improvement of our Hybrid Solution! 😊

You are now able to limit the number of people who can register for your hybrid event as on-site participants. Go to Configuration > Registration Settings and set up the limit. Once the limit is reached, participants will only be able to register as remote participants.

You can also limit the number of on-site participants for specific on-site and hybrid sessions! Simply go to the Agenda, click "Edit" on a session and set up the limit of on-site participants.

Find out more in our article Limiting On-Site Attendance on Hybrid Events.

Hybrid Solution

Dear organizers,

We are thrilled to announce the release of our Hybrid Solution! Some of the most important improvements include:

  • defining whether a session is online, hybrid, or on-site
  • on-site participants indicating how they will attend a hybrid session
  • participants being able to change their attendance from on-site to remote and vice-versa

You can find out more in our article Hybrid Events Overview.

If you have a hybrid event that has already been created, most of these changes will also be applied to it. If you have some questions, contact us at support@b2match.com.

Single Page Attendance

The Attendance step in the registration form has been improved!

For events that spanned multiple days, participants had to click through each day to select the sessions they want to attend. Now, we display all sessions on the same page which creates a more seamless experience for your participants.

Hybrid Events Update

Dear organizers,

You were probably wondering why there weren't any new announcements in the past month. That's because our IT team has been working hard on creating a solution for hybrid events which are slowly becoming the new standard.

The first of many new changes is the introduction of the Event Type. From now on when you create a new event, you will have to indicate whether you are having a physical, virtual, or hybrid event.

For all existing events, we will assign a type based on the Participation Types you have defined in the Configuration.

Make sure to keep an eye on our updates, there are many changes coming that you will not want to miss! 😉

Batch Actions

You are now able to change the visibility, validation, attendance, or participation type for multiple participants at once.

Click the Batch Actions button in the Participant list to make changes for all participants currently displayed on the list.
If you want to make changes only for some participants, use the Advanced Search first in order to narrow down the list. The Batch Actions will only apply to the filtered participants.

New b2match Events Page

We are pleased to announce that we have updated our b2match Events Page.

We will promote your event on the new page as soon as you publish it. This can create extra advertising traffic for your event and attract even more participants.

If your event has already been published, check out what it looks like on the new page. Feel free to make some changes by going to the newly added section in the organizer's tool: Configuration > Event Promotion.
There's a chance that the image doesn't look good on the new page due to a difference in the aspect ratio, so make sure to change this.

For more information check out our article Event Promotion.

We have also updated our Topics, so make sure to check if your event fits in the right category. You can see your options on the Topics Page.

Recurring Meetings

Participants can now have more than one meeting with the same person. After the first meeting ends, a participant can visit the person's profile and simply request a new meeting.

For your participants this new improvement will:

  • Eliminate the need to communicate outside the event website.
  • Make it easier to schedule another meeting if they missed the first one.
  • Help them create even stronger connections with potential business partners.
